 ‘Crossbar Coaching recognizes that the role of the coach has never been so important. The organisation has been established with belief that football coaching can play a key role in developing young people beyond the confines of a football pitch.

‘Crossbar Coaching’ has been established so that every child supported ‘can be the best that they can be’. This includes improving their performance as an individual and a team player in football but also by using football as a means to address key social issues such as health, anti-social behaviour and inequality

Crossbar Coaching will:

  • Recognize ‘difference’ in young players and support all individuals to improve;
  • Ensure that all young players experience achievement;
  • Enhance the self esteem of young players;
  • Help to develop confidence in young players;
  • Encourage young players to make decisions for themselves;
  • Develop positive attitudes around ‘fair play’ and respect for others.

All coaching sessions are delivered in a fun but structured manner and are planned to ensure that supporting organisation’s objectives are achieved.

‘Crossbar Coaching’ seeks to deliver practice that is aligned to that of The Football Association.
