Testimonials
Gail Rance - Stirchley Primary School
"We have used Crossbar Coaching both as part of our curriculum PE and as an After School Club, they have worked successfully with children across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
As a school we have been extremely impressed with all the coaches we have worked with, they are hard working, reliable, always prepared, set high expectations for the children and deliver skills in fun, exciting and well structured sessions.
All children are able to take an active role in the lessons regardless of their ability or previous experience and children are encouraged to reach their full potential which they strive to do. As a result we have seen many children’s confidence grow. Crossbar liaises well with our school staff and regularly keeps us updated on the children’s progress.
They are enthusiastic and clearly enjoy what they do, this has rubbed of on our children who thoroughly enjoy working with them and look forward to each session."
Mark Hignett - Assistant Faculty Leader for Creative and Performing Arts – Head of PE
"As a school we have been employing Crossbar Coaching for almost twelve months and have found them an excellent resource.
They have coached extra-curricular football and futsal to boys and girls across the secondary age range.
In my opinion the key aspects that set them apart from all other coaching companies that we have used are;
- The fact that all of their coaches are at least Level 2 qualified.
- The way that they manage the groups they work with.
- The enthusiasm they facilitate and the real difference it has made to the whole schooling of some of our students.
- The advice from experience that the coaches – especially their Director, Gavin Cowan – are willing and able to provide to individuals.
In conclusion, I unreservedly recommend Crossbar Coaching to any organisation that requires curricular or extra-curricular coaching."
Kate Roberts - Lawley Primary School
"Crossbar Coaching has been working at Lawley Primary school for over a year, both within our curriculum helping to deliver football during PE lessons alongside the teacher, in an after school capacity running a club for KS2 pupils and also using our facilities at Lawley to provide holiday soccer schools for the wider community.
It is fairly easy for me to write about what we think of Crossbar here at Lawley - I just have to ask the children. Children return to their after school club term after term and most attend the soccer school that is held here every holiday. We have between 20 and 30 children attending the after school club every week and it is the most successful club we have ever held at the school.
The coaches are extremely professional and knowledgeable about sport and health and are able to cater to all abilities, sharing their enthusiasm, knowledge and skill for the game. We will certainly be engaging their services for as long as they are offered."
